The Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Bengkulu (FEB UNIB), successfully hosted the 2nd Bengkulu International Conference on Economics, Management, Business, and Accounting (the 2nd BICEMBA) 2024. This international-level event was organized by FEB UNIB in collaboration with 12 universities from Indonesia and abroad. The 2nd BICEMBA 2024 was conducted in a hybrid format, combining Zoom meetings for online participants and an offline session at Hotel Santika Bengkulu on November 12-13, 2024.

The event was officially opened by UNIB’s Vice Rector IV, Prof. Dr. Irfan Gustian, M.Si, marked by the traditional doll drum beating alongside the Dean of FEB UNIB, Prof. Dr. Kamaludin, SE., MM, the Acting Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Roosemarina Anggraini Rambe, SE., MM, Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs, Dr. E. Lismawati Z, SE., M.Si., Ak., CA, and the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation, who also served as Chairperson of the 2nd BICEMBA 2024, Dr. Rina Suthia Hayu, SE., MM.

The 2nd BICEMBA 2024 featured two international keynote speakers and one domestic keynote speaker during its seminar sessions:

  • Dr. Jau-Rong Chen, Director of the International Master Program of Business Administration at Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT), Taiwan.
  • Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Naeem, Assistant Professor, HEC-Approved Ph.D. Supervisor, and Director of the Center for Multidisciplinary Research (CMR) at the University of Management and Technology, Pakistan.
  • Dr. Vid Adrison, Lecturer at the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia.

These esteemed speakers shared insights on the conference theme, “Navigating Global Integration: Strategies for Scaling Economics and Business in a Borderless Era.”

The event was attended by 200 presenters whose papers were selected for the 2nd BICEMBA 2024, participating both online and offline. Below are the winners of the 2nd BICEMBA Awards 2024:

Following the event, the Chairperson of the 2nd BICEMBA 2024, Dr. Rina Suthia Hayu, expressed her gratitude for the support from the Dean of FEB UNIB, Vice Deans, the core organizing committee (faculty members and staff), student committee members, department heads within FEB UNIB, the Hotel Santika management team, and co-hosts for their excellent collaboration. She highlighted the 200 selected papers as a testament to the diversity of research findings presented by participants from various countries and regions in the fields of management, economics, and accounting.
