The Department of Management, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Bengkulu, hosted an engaging guest lecture on “Sustainability and Sustainable Human Resource Management”, delivered by Dr. Giovanna Afeltra, an Assistant Professor from Università Telematica San Raffaele, Rome, Italy. The online session took place on Thursday, 30 January 2025, at 14.00 WIB, and was attended by an impressive 208 participants, including students, faculty members, and staff. The event underscored the department’s commitment to providing global perspectives on contemporary issues in management.
The session began with a welcoming speech by the Head of the Department of Management, who emphasized the importance of integrating sustainability principles into human resource practices in light of today’s environmental and social challenges. The event was then handed over to Rhienta Aprisella, SM, MM, who served as the moderator. With her engaging style, she ensured the session flowed smoothly, allowing participants to gain maximum benefit from Dr. Afeltra’s insights.
Dr. Afeltra’s lecture highlighted the crucial role of sustainable human resource management (HRM) in achieving organizational sustainability.
