Bengkulu, November 28, 2024 – Students from the Management study program at Universitas Bengkulu recently participated in a Field Study Program (KKL) at PT PLN UP3 Bengkulu, a state-owned enterprise operating in the electricity sector. The program took place at the PLN UP3 Bengkulu office, located at Jl. Prof. Dr. Hazairin No.8, Ps. Baru, Tlk. Segara District, Bengkulu City. The KKL program is a mandatory activity aimed at providing students with deeper theoretical understanding and practical implementation of their studies in the field of talent management.
During the visit, the students were introduced to the importance of performance management and human resource management in a corporate setting. They gained insights into the company’s strategies for talent management, electrical safety standards, and an overview of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to electricity services. The sessions delivered by PLN professionals provided real-world illustrations of how theoretical knowledge can be applied in professional environments.
This activity is a tangible demonstration of Universitas Bengkulu’s commitment, particularly from the Management program, to bridge the gap between academia and industry needs. The collaboration offers students the opportunity to closely observe corporate work practices, preparing them to become competent graduates ready to compete in the workforce. Additionally, this program serves as an educational platform to foster a deeper understanding of human resource management and corporate governance.
The KKL program at PT PLN UP3 Bengkulu not only enriched the students’ academic knowledge but also opened avenues for direct discussions with practitioners in the electricity sector. It is hoped that this experience will broaden the students’ perspectives on the importance of human resource management and electrical technology while strengthening the relationship between Universitas Bengkulu and the industrial sector.
