On November 26, 2024, students and lecturers from the Management Department, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Bengkulu conducted an academic visit to the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). This activity was part of the Fieldwork Program for the Talent Management Course and an international collaboration aimed at enhancing students’ global insights while strengthening academic networks among universities in Southeast Asia. The delegation, consisting of 79 students and 2 lecturers, was led directly by the course instructors, Dr. Praningrum and Rhienta Aprisella, M.Si.

The series of events began with a welcoming session by the leadership of IIUM at the Gombak campus, Selangor. In their remarks, IIUM representatives expressed their appreciation for the visit and introduced the university’s profile and various flagship programs. Students and lecturers from FEB Universitas Bengkulu then participated in a discussion and knowledge-sharing session on innovations in business management based on Islamic values, which is one of IIUM’s academic focuses. This discussion provided participants with new insights into management approaches integrated with Islamic ethical principles.

In addition to the academic discussion, the delegation was also invited to visit several facilities at IIUM, including the main library and centers of excellence in research. During this visit, students gained a firsthand understanding of how IIUM supports research and learning activities through modern facilities that promote international collaboration. This visit not only enriched students’ perspectives but also opened opportunities for research partnerships between lecturers from both institutions.

As a closing activity, the FEB Universitas Bengkulu and IIUM delegations agreed on plans to continue their collaboration through student and faculty exchange programs in the future. The meeting concluded with an exchange of souvenirs by both parties as a symbol of their close partnership. This activity is expected to serve as a positive starting point for strengthening academic relations between Universitas Bengkulu and the International Islamic University Malaysia.
